Playing a fusion of Soul, Blues, and Rock n' Roll, Mattaeyus Moon brings an all out energetic free feeling jam and good vibes to every performance. Starting out in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the summer of 2011, Mattaeyus has played with a wide variety of musicians in almost every style. Relentlessly playing anywhere from the beaches and streets of Van City to the local blues jams and open mics around town booking himself for any type of venue. Over this time, Mattaeyus has honed his skills of performance and musicianship.
Live, the sound is epic. Bringing a "Cream-esq" style of free form blues and improvisation, every show is unique and fresh. With the musical stylings of Jazz pianist turned rock drummer, Bruno Hubert and the powerful driving bass of Joni Miller (The Usual Suspects) the distinct sound and soul of the music spans from the traditional blues sound of players like John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf, and Charley Patton to the classic rock bands of the 60's and 70's.
